Wizard School Coat

A red-haired wizard’s apprentice casts blue rays beneath the moon on the Wizard school smock, in lilac gingham with orange trim, for schoolchildren aged 4 to 10. A purple night-time background, castle towers, stars and a black cape with red lining: the printed panel fills half the front.

A spell every morning

Doing up the orange buttons without help is the first spell they learn in P3. They stand out against the lilac gingham, so children can spot them at a glance and line them up with the buttonhole. When they take off their smock by themselves after art class, they are wizards through and through.

The elasticated cuffs hold the sleeve above the wrist, while the pocket with orange piping keeps their wand—or pencil, which amounts to the same thing.

The optional embroidered name on the chest means their smock always appears on their peg, rather than the one next to it.
