About the Design

Copito de Nieve (Floquet de neu in Catalan) was a male albino gorilla born in the Nko jungle in Equatorial Guinea in 1964, and lived at Barcelona Zoo from 1966 to 2003. He was the only known albino gorilla in the world, and became a symbol of the city of Barcelona.

Copito de Nieve quickly adapted to his new life at the zoo. He became a popular animal and was visited by millions of people from all over the world. He was known for his friendly and playful personality.

Copito de Nieve was an ambassador for gorilla conservation. His story helped raise awareness of the importance of protecting this endangered species.

Copito de Nieve is still remembered as one of Barcelona’s most iconic animals. His story is an inspiration to people all over the world.

Copito de Nieve was important to Barcelona for several reasons. Firstly, he was a popular tourist attraction who helped bring visitors to the city. Secondly, he was a symbol of Barcelona’s diversity and tolerance. Thirdly, he was an ambassador for gorilla conservation.
