About the Design

Teddy bears are stuffed toys that represent bears. They are one of the most popular forms of toy in the world and have become a symbol of love and friendship.

Teddy bears first became popular in the 1900s. The most common story about the origin of the teddy bear is that a teddy bear was created by a toy seller named Morris Michtom in 1902. Michtom was visiting Brooklyn Zoo with his wife when he saw a child cuddling a brown bear. Michtom was inspired to create a toy that resembled the child’s bear, and so the teddy bear was born.

• Small 20x20 cm approx. Ideal for carrying small toys, colouring pencils, juice, a water bottle, sandwich, piece of fruit, dummy, etc.
• Medium 28x30 cm approx. Ideal for carrying a snack or complete lunch, sandwich with a drink and piece of fruit, assorted lunch boxes, etc.
