About the Design

Rapunzel is a fairy-tale character who has been reinterpreted in many ways over the years. Today, Rapunzel remains a popular figure, but she is portrayed differently from the way she was in the past.

This reinterpretation of Rapunzel is reflected in popular culture. For example, the 2010 Disney film, Tangled, presents Rapunzel as an intelligent and adventurous young woman determined to find her own freedom.

Today, Rapunzel remains a role model for many girls. She is an example that women can be strong, independent and capable of achieving anything they set their minds to.
