About the Design

The Triceratops was a herbivorous dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, between 68 and 66 million years ago, in what is now North America. 

The Triceratops was a large dinosaur, measuring up to 9 metres in length and weighing up to 12 tonnes. It had a robust body with short, thick legs. Its head was large and flat, with three horns: one long, pointed horn on its nose and two shorter ones on its forehead. It also had a large bony frill surrounding its neck.

It is believed that the Triceratops' horns were used for defence against predators such as Tyrannosaurus rex. The bony frill is also thought to have protected the Triceratops' neck from attacks.

The Triceratops is one of the most popular and recognisable dinosaurs. Its distinctive appearance and role in popular culture have made it a favourite with children and adults alike.
