Chestnut Seller Children’s Apron

Children’s chestnut seller’s apron in traditional farcell fabric, the familiar black and brown checked cloth, perfect for dressing up for the school Castanyada festival. It features red trim and ties that stand out against the checks, a large pocket at the front with a red edge, and a striped band at the hem, matching the one that finishes the traditional farcell.

The costume that can be reused

The pocket is perfect for chestnuts and panellets on the day, and the rest of the year it can be used as an apron for painting or helping in the kitchen: the fabric is durable cotton and polyester, and it ties with a waist bow.

It is one size, suitable for children aged two to six, and measures 44 × 54 cm, so the same apron will fit both the little one in P3 and the older child in P5. We cut and sew it in our workshop in Barcelona using Catalan fabric.

With the embroidered name, your class’s chestnut seller won’t be mistaken for the one next to them in the group photo.
