Sakura School Smock Dress

Sakura school smock with a doll featuring black hair bows and a purple kimono among cherry blossoms, on aqua-green stripes with fuchsia binding, for ages 4 to 10. The bubblegum-pink pocket finishes the plain side, the buttons repeat the fuchsia on the collar, and the print covers the other half of the front.

It is a blessing at lunchtime: the tomato sauce from the pasta and yoghurt land on the smock, not on their best T-shirt, while the long sleeves with elasticated cuffs cover the wrists. Once they leave, it unbuttons and the clothes underneath are still clean.

The panel features a turquoise background with white polka dots, pink petals floating by and a small, smiling white character accompanying the kokeshi doll. Cherry blossom season is short; the smock lasts all year.

You can add an embroidered name on the chest, for a small supplement, so there are never two identical Sakuras in the lunch queue.
